Trifolium Pratense.... Red clover, one of the heroes of the garden. It has a deep taproot which makes it tolerant to drought and gives it a good soil structuring effect, therefore perfect for lawns as well as food for bees. I have it growing all over my garden and it’s a magnet for bees and insects as well as nitrogen fixing for the soil. What’s not to like ? I’ve nearly finished my meadow study and look forward to showing it at Made Marylebone. Do come and see me and talk about my work as well as conservation and wild flowers. #mademarylebone #handmade #wildflowers @seed_ball #growmorewildflowers #silkflowers #flowermaking #nature #botanicalart
