I am so excited to share my parrots of the world print with you. Each parrot has been hand drawn by me. You can get this in size A3 and A4. If you are a teacher or home educator then take a look through my educational prints. You could have art work that educates.
Did you know that all cockatoo's are parrots but not all parrots are cockatoo's. This is sounding very familiar. Do you remember when I was talking about cetaceans. I said that all dolphins are whales but not all whales are dolphins. Biology is fun 🤣 This beautiful bird is the Yellow-crowned Amazon Parrot.
I am very pleased to say that I am back to working on my Illustrations. This is the last in my parrot series. Excited to put this print together.
We have such a varied and beautiful coastline on the British isles. From the White cliffs of Dover, to the mud flats in Essex, and the bays in Wales. There are so many places that I would love to visit, and so many that I have been lucky to see. People often talk about going on holiday abroad, and that they don't feel that they have had a holiday unless it is in a hot country. But I don't feel this at all, as there are so many places in the UK that offer peace and beauty, and if you go at the right time you can get the hot weather too. Where is your favourite place to visit in the UK?
Beautiful animals can be found all over the world. From the skies, to the seas, from the ground to the trees. I am creating a workshop which will take you on a journey. Following incredible species which can be found just outside your front door, and then to discover their migratory journey and the places that they end up. I am going to create workshops which educate about symbiotic relationships, ones where children will learn about survival methods of the animals that live in extreme weather conditions. And many many more. All of my workshops will include my Illustrations and my rhymes. They will include games, and puzzles. I can't wait to take my workshops into schools and inspire the minds of your children. To show them what they can see just by opening their eyes.
Today has been one of my most favourite days of this summer. We spent the morning venturing through the sunflower fields in Rhossili. Then we went strawberry picking, which I have wanted to do with my children for years. It is something I used to do when I was a child. We would eat way too many strawberries whilst picking them, then struggle to eat the ones that we bought 🙈 You may have noticed that I have been very quiet with work. I didn't plan to take time off but I have slowed work right down to be able to spend time with my family. It is often hard to know what is the best thing to do, but I have thoroughly enjoyed my time off and look forward to the rest of the summer.
More mugs going out today. I only have two of the dolphin mugs and two of the shark mugs left. I won't be ordering more for a while, so grab them quick to not be disappointed.
Very excited to try my new @lush shampoo and conditioner. I have been researching plastic free shampoos for a while but have struggled as my daughter has such sensitive skin. I decided to go into lush and speak to someone after being recommended them so many times. I went into the Colchester store and they were amazingly helpful. Will let you know how I get on 💙🌏
My husband couldn't have done better for an anniversary gift. A t-shirt from my favourite clothing company @rapanuiclothing Even the packaging is plastic free, and a great design for my children to colour in.
Did you know that sharks don't have bones. Their skeletons are made up of cartilage. This along with their large livers, which are filled with low density oils, helps them with their buoyancy. Do you know a shark lover? Please tag them in this post to show them my work. My prints can also be personalised. To order, visit the link in my bio.
My daughter is like me in so many ways. She is stubborn, passionate, loves food, loves everything to do with nature, and loves to walk without shoes. I hate wearing shoes, I love to feel the sand between my toes, and the grass under my feet. My daughter is the same. As soon as we get to the beach, our shoes are off. We run along the sand until we reach the sea. We try and go to the beach at least two or three times a week. It doesn't matter if it is in beautiful summer sun, or on a rainy winter's day, you will find us at the beach. Do you love to go without shoes and spend time with the ocean?
My husband just gave me my birthday present, only a month late. But that doesn't matter as it was something I have been wanting to buy for a long time. A @4ocean bracelet. Each bracelet purchased helps to pull 1lb of rubbish from the ocean. It is unisex and adjustable so it is perfect for anyone that would like a gift that helps our planet. Have you purchased your 4ocean bracelet yet? If so, what colour do you have?
Even though I am on holiday you can still order from my Etsy shop. This week has been my busiest week for orders and I can't wait to get back and package them all. I only have one more dolphins of the British isles mug left. So get in quick! To purchase, visit the link in my bio.
Being on holiday is really hard when you love your work as much as I do. So I thought I would share my African Bush Elephant with you all. This magnificent animal can live up to 70 years. But it is lucky if they do as an estimated 100 African elephants are hunted each day for their ivory.
Are you taking time out to relax in the sun? I am spending the next couple of weeks around my family. I will be able to enjoy some very rare child free and work free time and will certainly be finding time to relax in the sun.
Jumping waves as they come in. Watching fishes as they swim. At the beach we like to be, Playing happy, running free.
It is always so sad to come across these washed up barrel jellyfish. This may be the biggest one that we have found. I will be doing a Friday fun fact each week. This week's fun fact is: 150 million people are stung by jellyfish each year, that is around 300 people a minute.
I appologise for being so quiet recently when it comes to my wildlife Illustrations and rhymes. It has been difficult with the start of the summer holidays and the heat. I will be writing some wildlife rhymes over the next week so will share those once they are complete. For now, here is my printed Moorish Idol.
