The best birthday present ever?! My love bought me plants for my birthday and I don’t think there could be any better gift 🌿🌴🌱 When you are trying to reduce your footprint on the world, birthdays can be tricky as you can accumulate gifted items that you might not necessarily need or have space for or get much use out of. It can be daunting, but just make it clear to the people who love you who will be the gift givers that you are trying to be more sustainable. You can either show them a list of things you have been wanting or give them an idea for gifts or even more special, the gift of their time!
An afternoon spent appreciating the local wildlife with my university’s Wildlife society 🐾🌿 The UK’s wildlife is under a lot of pressure at the moment, with numbers dropping across more than half of the native species. So I encourage you to get out into nature and explore! The more we can learn about local species, the better chance we have to #saveukwildlife !
For me, minimalism is an ongoing journey and sometimes I need a little bit of inspiration when things plateau and I feel like I need to make some more changes to shake things up. @minimalandism book, goodbye things, has me feeling very inspired and I am excited to implement some of the things I have learnt so far and I’m only half way through 💭
The aim - become a crazy plant lady because it’s good the for air and good for my soul! 🌴🌱🌿

My windswept hair in this photo sums up how my mind is feeling right now... Tomorrow is my first day at university where I will be undertaking a degree in biological sciences and I am a wild mix of emotions from excitement to anxiousness. After taking a break from education, heading back into the world of academia is a daunting prospect but I am excited to see what the next 3 years have in store for me! If anyone else is starting university or a job or taking a leap of faith a trying something new as well, I wish you all the best, we got this ✨✨✨
Whenever possible, it’s great to support your local farms and suppliers 🥦🥬🌱🍐 I am lucky enough to be able to buy products from a the Isle of Wight garlic farm and have access to local farmers markets. I am so grateful because I understand this is a privilege and not everyone has access to such amenities!
Very blessed to have a local cafe that offers all the alternative mlks, vegan options, no plastic straws and makes the best smoothies around !
As the new academic year rolls around, one of my goals is to reduce my use of disposable coffee cups by 100% during my first year of university. Let the challenge begin !
