Montage Monday! I love a good alliteration. And I also have a secret fondness for #caterpillars . Yes they sometimes destroy my flowers and vegetables. But I like watching them move - stretching out the front of the bodies, bobbing their heads around to make sure they will land on something safe. Then dragging their behinds up into a bell curve, before sliding their bodies forward. So next time, before you squish the caterpillar to death, take a moment to watch them do their little dance moves 'cause it's pretty cute
#Plants have so much incredible and beautiful detail. Look at the underside of these #banksia #leaves . #Silver crisp leaves with a #tan vein running through. The serrated edges. I had been #pruning the banksia and just had to marvel at the leaves before I threw it into the green waste. #nofilter #nature #naturalbeauty
I had been feeling a bit sad and lonely so decided to spend some time in #nature and do some #forestbathing . Walking amongst ancient trees, listening to birdsong and just staring at bark and banksia flowers really helped calm me. #shinrinyoku #hortherapy #therapy
I love the colours on this plant. The soothing pale green with pinky-orange tips. I don't actually know what plant this is - an #agave of some sort but not ine I've come across before. #plantherapy #plant #relax #green #cactus #soothe
Working full-time in #gardening #maintenance is often hard physical work and sometimes a bit mind numbing. But just when I feel myself getting frustrated I look up at the beautiful world around me and see things like thia #butterfly #siphoning #pollen from a #flower and I remember what I love about this job.
They may have taken about 3 months to #flower but the wait was worth it for these #happy looking #calendulas . Also known as #marigolds these may look quite different from the marigolds you are used to seeing in Australia. While they have the same common name they are two completely different plants. This is calendula officinalis, the othet marigold is tagetes erecta. And there are other marigolds too. As well ad being beautiful calendula (which is so much fun to say!) is popular for its #medicinal properties #edibleflowers
I found the vegetable gardens at #mtcootthabotanicalgardens so calming. I don’t know if it was the orderly lines or the flushes of brilliant greens. Even looking at the image is calming. #healinggardens #veggiepatch
